1. Introduction / はじめに

Rui Lab Co., Ltd. ("Company", "we", "our") operates internal analytics software that integrates with TikTok's Display API v2 to retrieve performance data from our own TikTok accounts (@rui_renai_lab and @rui_renai_official) for internal reporting purposes.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information obtained through the TikTok API. Our integration is strictly read-only and is used solely for analyzing our own content — we do not access, store, or process any data from third-party TikTok users.

ルイ・ラボ株式会社（以下「当社」）は、TikTok Display API v2 を通じて自社のTikTokアカウントのパフォーマンスデータを取得する社内分析ツールを運営しています。本プライバシーポリシーは、当社がTikTok APIを利用する際の情報取り扱いについて説明します。当社のAPI連携は読み取り専用であり、第三者のTikTokユーザーのデータには一切アクセスしません。

2. TikTok API Scopes Used / 使用するTikTok APIスコープ

Our application uses only the following three read-only scopes:

No write scopes are used. We do not use video.publish, video.upload, or any other scope that would allow posting content, accessing messages, or reading data from third-party accounts.

3. Information We Collect / 取得する情報

Through the TikTok API, we collect and process only the following information:

Important: All data retrieved through the TikTok API relates exclusively to our own company-operated accounts. We do not retrieve, store, or process personal data from any TikTok user other than our own accounts.

4. How We Use Collected Information / 情報の利用目的

Collected information is used exclusively for the following purposes:

Generating a daily internal analytics report reviewed by our team each morning (JST)
Tracking account-level growth metrics (follower count, total engagement) over time
Analyzing per-video performance to inform content strategy decisions
Replacing manual screenshot-based reporting with an automated local data pipeline

We do not use this data for marketing to third parties, advertising, or any commercial purpose beyond optimizing our own content strategy. Data is never sold, licensed, or shared with any external organization.

5. Data Storage / データの保管

Storage Location: Local macOS machine, Japan (/Users/kokiito/tiktok_video1/insights_lab/)
Data Format: Structured JSON files (insights_lab/YYYY-MM-DD.json)
Retention Period: Analytics JSON files: up to 2 years for historical trend analysis. OAuth tokens: deleted within 24 hours of expiry.
Security: Access restricted to authorized company representative (kokiito) only. Storage protected by macOS system-level encryption and password authentication.
No Cloud Storage: Data is not uploaded to any third-party cloud service, database, or external API beyond TikTok's own servers during the API request.

6. Third-Party Disclosure / 第三者提供

We do not sell, share, rent, or disclose any collected information to any third party, except as required by applicable law or court order.

TikTok API data is not transmitted to any service other than TikTok's own servers during API calls. No advertising networks, data brokers, analytics platforms, or other third parties receive any data obtained through our TikTok API integration.

7. Data Minimization / データ最小化

We apply strict data minimization principles. Only the fields necessary for our internal analytics workflow are requested from the API:

user.info.profile: display_name, follower_count, profile_image (URL only)
user.info.stats: follower_count, following_count, likes_count, video_count
video.list: id, create_time, title, view_count, like_count, comment_count, share_count, duration

No personally identifiable information of other TikTok users is requested or stored.

8. Children's Privacy / 未成年者のプライバシー

Our internal analytics tool is operated exclusively by adult company representatives. We do not intentionally collect data from or about individuals under the age of 13.

9. Changes to This Policy / ポリシーの変更

This Privacy Policy may be updated as our API usage changes. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the tool after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Governing Law / 準拠法

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
